CAN I BOOK THE BATHHOUSE WITHOUT A SPA TREATMENT?

Yes, you are welcome to experience our Bathhouse without a spa treatment. Booking a package is a great way to elevate your spa experience, and spa treatment guests enjoy reduced bathing prices.

ARE THERE ANY PRIVATE EXPERIENCES?

The Bathhouse is a communal space where all guests use the facilities at the same time.

Groups can book the Bathhouse for exclusive use, subject to availability.

HOW LONG IS MY BATHHOUSE SESSION?

You are welcome to extend your visit by adding on an additional 1.5 hour Bathhouse Ritual at the reduced price of $85.00 per person. Please add this at the time of booking. Already booked? Be sure to include your companion or carer on your reservation to provide you with assistance. Companions and carers with the relevant identification receive complimentary entry when accompanying a paying guest who requires assistance. Our Bathhouse has a lift for guests to reach the pools deck. A wheelchair can be requested and will be confirmed for your reservation subject to availability.

Please contact our reservations team for further assistance regarding our guest journey and experiences.

WHAT CAN I EXPERIENCE IF I AM PREGNANT?

We don’t allow pregnant women to use our Bathhouse, however we do offer some therapeutic treatments that you can safely enjoy during your pregnancy. You and your baby’s safety is our priority and exposure to high temperatures – like in our pools, sauna and steam – can put your pregnancy at risk.

Private Salt Float Therapy is a wonderful bathing alternative. It can help reduce the strain on your body and spine, improve sleep, alleviate aches and pains associated with pregnancy and leave you feeling calm, rested and soothed.

Our reception team will be happy to help with other treatment suggestions. Every pregnancy is different and we suggest you talk to your doctor prior to booking your spa experience.

CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL BEFORE OR DURING MY BATHHOUSE EXPERIENCE?

Our Bathhouse is an alcohol-free zone. We also strongly advise against drinking alcohol before your thermal bathhouse session. Alcohol dehydrates the body, and this can lead to serious health complications in a hot and humid environment. Alcohol also disrupts your ability to regulate body temperature and affects your blood pressure and heart rate, leaving your vulnerable to overheating and other health risks.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, guests who arrive intoxicated will be refused entry to the Bathhouse.

DO YOU ALLOW CHILDREN TO USE THE BATHHOUSE?

Children aged 14 and above are welcome to use the Bathhouse if they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver and consent form prior to the child using the facilities and identification confirming the child’s age may be required before entry is permitted.

Children under the age of 14 are not permitted to use the Bathhouse.

ARE THERE ANY MANDATORY CONDITIONS THAT APPLY TO USE OF THE BATHHOUSE?

To ensure an enjoyable, safe and healthy experience for everyone we ask our guests to adhere to the following:

  • Swimwear is compulsory.
  • Slippers cannot be worn in pools, saunas and steam rooms.
  • Sauna users must sit on a towel.
  • Guests are required to shower before beginning their bathhouse journey.
  • Children aged 14 and above must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Mobile phones, tablets and cameras are not allowed in the Bathhouse.
  • Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry.
  • We encourage social interaction but please be mindful of disturbing other guests.

We reserve the right to remove anyone who does not comply with these conditions or disrupts the experience for other guests.

PRIVATE SALT FLOAT THERAPY

WHAT DOES FLOATING DO FOR ME?

REST (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy) or Internal Sensory Enhancement is a long-established practice which has experienced a modern resurgence due to extensive scientific research becoming accessible to the general public.

Floating minimises external stimuli and alleviates all sources of physical discomfort including gravity, releasing tension from your bones, joints and muscles allowing your body to heal whilst your mind enters a deepened meditative state.

A powerful physical and cognitive experience, research has proven float therapy aids muscle relaxation, hormonal balance and increases brainwave activity. Key benefits include accelerated recovery from injury, better sleep and reduced stress and anxiety.

HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO FLOAT TO SEE RESULTS?

Many first time floaters experience the true benefits of floating after their first float but really notice the feeling and difference floating can make after 2-3 session. Like any therapy, consistent and repeated floating will help achieve results. Take advantage of our packages or memberships to see the benefits for yourself!

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

We kindly ask for you to arrive at our Reception for check in at least 20 minutes prior to your reservation time. We kindly ask you to allow additional time for parking.

WHAT IF I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION?

Thermal bathing is very therapeutic for most people, however, some medical conditions require caution or even avoidance. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we recommend that you consult with your doctor or healthcare provider if you have medical issues and follow their advice.  You may find that they recommend some of our experiences while cautioning you to avoid others.

Some thermal bathing experiences may be unsafe for conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, recent trauma or surgery and diabetes. Additionally, some medications can cause complications, such as dehydration and overheat. Sauna and steam are contraindicated for some conditions, including heart disease, circulatory disorders, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, recent trauma and surgery, certain respiratory conditions and alcoholic intoxication.

When making your reservation, kindly advise us of any health conditions, allergies or injuries which could affect your choice of experience. Our team will make recommendations that are appropriate for you.

For a smooth check-in process, please complete your guest consultation form prior to your arrival.

It is mandatory to wear a swimsuit.

We recommend wearing our slip-resistant slippers into the bathhouse.  Please do not wear slippers in pools or in thermal experiences.   We ask that you pay the utmost attention when travelling on wet floor surfaces around the bathhouse.

HOW LONG CAN I FLOAT FOR?

We allow 60 minutes to fully immerse yourself within the experience.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

For the most beneficial experience we recommend that you float in the nude, swimwear is optional. Remember you are in complete privacy.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

Towel and earplugs. Our shower includes ASPAR shampoo, ASPAR hair conditioner and ASPAR body cleanser.

HOW IS HYGIENE MAINTAINED?

The Epsom salt solution is filtered 4 times between floats via a network of filters and sanitised via a UV light process, providing a sterile solution that is maintained according to VIC Health Department regulations.

WHAT IF I FALL ASLEEP?

One hour of floating is equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep. The buoyancy of the water will keep you floating. There is no risk or problem with allowing yourself to drift away.

CAN I FLOAT IF I AM PREGNANT?

Floating while pregnant can help by taking the strain off the body and spine and promotes excellent sleep, a lovely sense of well-being and can alleviate all the pains and aches normally associated with pregnancy. To ensure floating is suitable for you during your stage of pregnancy, it is advised to talk to your doctor before booking.

WHAT IF I AM CLAUSTROPHOBIC?

As opposed to a pod where you close the lid, you are in your own private float room where you open the door and step into your bathing journey. You are always in control of your environment. Our team will explain all aspects of the float on your arrival.

WILL I GET COLD AND WRINKLED?

No. You can float for hours and never get cold or prune. The Epsom salt or magnesium sulfate acts as a regulator for water and inhibits the water from saturating in the skin. Epsom salts do not have the same drying effects on the skin as the salt we cook with. Although the salts do remove oils from the surface layer of the skin, it draws oils from the layers beneath which creates baby-soft skin.

CAN I FLOAT AFTER COLOURING MY HAIR?

Please wait a week after you dye your hair before floating to make sure that any extra colour has had the chance to rinse out. The float tank solution won’t cause any more harm to your hair than your usual shampoo and conditioner. In fact Epsom salt can increase the health and volume of your hair.

WHEN SHOULDN’T I FLOAT?

  • If you have very recently gotten a tattoo, we recommend waiting at least 4-6 weeks, but check with your tattoo artist first. Epsom salt can permanently fade or damage the aesthetic look of your tattoo if you float before it’s fully healed
  • If you have any open wounds, or have a skin condition that causes irritation (eczema or psoriasis or highly sensitive skin)
  • If you are sick and/or have an infection that is contagious. Please wait until you are no longer contagious to float
  • If you have had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 2 weeks
  • If you have ear gromets. Please check with your physician before booking your float.
  • If you are actively undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment
  • If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. For safety reasons, our staff have the right to refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated or suspected to be intoxicated
  • If you got a spray tan or used self-tanner in the last 3 weeks
  • If you are epileptic and your epilepsy is not under control and you have not received the go-ahead from your medical care provider
  • If you are diabetic and your diabetes is not under stable management or you have not received the go ahead from your medical care provider
  • If you have kidney disease and have not received the go-ahead from your medical care provider
